It’s been over two years since Kamasi Washington‘s last project, The Epic. Reasonable, though, considering the album contained nearly two-and-a-half hours of sprawling jazz, later followed up with work alongside Kendrick Lamar, Thundercat, Flying Lotus, Terrace Martin and others.
He offered up a new song, “Truth,” in April which seemed like it could’ve fit right in the realm of work on The Epic, landing over 13 minutes long. It turned out to be the first single from his upcoming EP, Harmony Of Difference, which Washington has now announced will drop September 29 via The Young Turks.
