It’s no secret that actor-comedian Page Kennedy is an absolute beast on the microphone, as proven by his inaugural introduction on his “mumble rap” diss song “No Offense.”

Since his first appearance here, the Detroit lyricist formed his own rogues gallery on “Testing Me” with King Los, Mr. Porter and Royce 5’9″, collaborated with eLZhi and Fred the Godson (“Assassins“), ripped multiple freestyles, including JAY-Z‘s “The Story of OJ,” did a song with his son (“Google That“) and blessed us with his debut album Torn Pages.

As we approach the release of his upcoming mixtape Straight Bars, Page, giving zero f*cks, breaks the internets with a crazy posse cut, enlisting eLZhi, Mickey Factz, King Los, Cassidy and KXNG Crooked, remixing Nas‘ “Made You Look.”

On why he chose this specific lineup of emcees, Page explained to HHDX “I look at myself as a lyricist. I look at myself as one of the best at it. I’m always inclined to find the most powerful MCs and have them all on the song to see who stands out, so I handpicked these artists. Crooked I [KXNG Crooked] is definitely is the stand out on this song in my opinion, which is why I put him last. No one could have gone after that unless Eminem was on this song,” adding “Everyone on the song is dope or they wouldn’t be on it. Crooked just had a chance to hear what everyone did before. Not to say that he wouldn’t had still killed it, ’cause he would have. He is one of the best we have. But so is eLZhi.”

“I chose the concept for this artwork cause the mindset of this project was competitive rap. Battle rap. So I felt at this time I was The Mumble rap killer. One of the coldest things I remember happening in a movie was in Freddy vs Jason where at the end Jason is coming out of the lake holding Freddy’s head. So I was paying homage to that by depicting myself carrying the quintessential mumble rapper’s head,” Page explained.
