I mentioned to Shake and Patrick that I consider Vado to be the most underrated member of DJ Khaled‘s We The Best Music, and one of the responses was “Well, what about Ace Hood?
Well, as it turns out, Ace is no longer affiliated with We The Best, amicably splitting from the the imprint earlier this year. He is now focusing on releasing his next mixtape, Trust The Process, which is slated to arrive August 21st. He has also released the first track from it, “To Whom It May Concern.”
“I think ‘To Whom It May Concern’ is more of a self-reflective record for me,” Ace said to XXL. “It’s a letter not only to my fans, my past and to whomever it may concern; I think it’s also a letter to myself overcoming what I’ve gone through. I didn’t know that’s what it’d be as I was recording it but people say that anytime you feel something or go through something, whatever it is in life, to always write it down.
