Kanye West‘s The Life of Pablo is just about a year and a half old now, but I refreshed myself running through the album on Friday. I still like it as much as I did a year ago, but it still has plenty of weaknesses, starting with the lyrics. One of the weaker efforts lyrically — “Freestyle 4” with Future Desiigner — just got a boost with an unreleased version featuring A$AP Ferg and Big Sean.
Sans Yeezy or Desiigner for the most part, Fergalicious and Sean Don each take a 16 to exude confidence over the energetic production. They both dabble in varying flows that weren’t used on the original. Ferg added an insane energy and did the most with his space, I think (outside of, you know, wondering why people crucified Bill Cosby).
