Following tracks like “Heartbreak,” “Money Showers” and “Cookin’,” Fat Joe aims to keep his summer streak going with his recent single “So Excited.” Featuring frequent collaborator Dre (of Cool & Dre) and produced by Streetrunner, the song now gets a matching set of visuals.
Naturally taking his talents to his home away from home — Miami, that is — the video is a quasi-play on The Notorious B.I.G.‘s vintage “Hypnotize” video, with Joe and Dre being chased throughout the city. Sidebar: the track itself samples the same Dennis Edwards song made famous in 2Pac’s “Hit ‘Em Up,” which Biggie and Junior M.A.F.I.A. used first in “Gettin’ Money (The Get Money Remix).”
