Locksmith – “The One” (Video)

blame it on Shake August 9, 2017

Another day, another excellent video from Locksmith‘s Olive Branch album.

At this point, you should already know what to expect from Lock when it comes to the visual aspect of his most recent album — pure quality. Already seven deep, with “Agenda,” “”Nobody” and “Neck Pillow” from the album lead-up, and “Sanity,” “Home,” “No Way” and “Helpless” from the post-release roll-out, the Bay Area emcee keeps it coming with “The One.”

Directed by Chris Zino, Lock details the demise of a beautiful relationship that can’t withstand the hustle and dedication it takes from an individual who is chasing their creative dreams. The amount of time and passion needed to be put into acquiring certain goals requires sacrifices. And in this case, it’s love.

Of the thirteen tracks found on Olive Branch, “The One” may be my least favorite. But only because I can’t really relate — I was lucky enough to find love and marry my best friend. That’s it. Take that away and it’s another amazing Lock song with Olamide Faison slaying the hook, again.

Watch “The One” below and pick up Olive Branch now.

And for those wondering, the leading lady is Eileen Reslen, and you can find her on Instagram.
