Saba – “There You Go”

blame it on Patrick Glynn August 16, 2017

Saba started off the year hot, promoting his Bucket List Project and prepping to hit the road with Sylvan Lacue on tour. Then tragedy struck. His cousin and PIVOT Gang member, John Walt, was shot and killed in Chicago.

While he still toured and made music, life since then has been in Walt’s honor. Saba has put together a concert in Walt’s name and set up the John Watt Foundation. He returns back to his comfort zone (no pun intended) today, though, with new music for the first time since January with “There You Go.”

The song, like much of his music, is reflective of the block that raised him. The turmoil surrounding Saba motivated him to hone his craft with hopes of someday blossoming from the westside of Chicago. Listen to “There You Go,” produced by Daoud and Saba, below.
