For the past few months, there have been rumors swirling around the internets that Eminem is working on a brand new body of work. Allen Hughes, director of the four-part HBO special The Defiant Ones—which chronicles the storied history of music moguls Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine—revealed to Uproxx that Dre is producing “in the 11th hour, a track for Eminem’s latest album,” and the recording of a new album was also confirmed by the man himself in a late October tweet.
Industry insiders over at HDD also report that a new Eminem album is expected this fall.
During a recent broadcast on Mojo in the Morning in Michigan, the crew of the show let the cat out of the bag on a rumored new collaborative song with pop singer Pink. Tony Travatto, who serves as Senior VP of programming for iHeartMedia reportedly relayed info that “There is a new Eminem, Pink song coming out, that he said is unbelievable,” and that Mr. Travatto “got a chance to be one of the first to hear it, and it’ll be coming out here very soon.”
If the reports are true, the new song will be a reunion between the two artist’s since 2010’s “Won’t Back Down.”
