After T-Pain graced the NPR Tiny Desk way back in 2014, I fantasized about seeing T-Pain — whom we usually heard auto-tuned — at a piano bar performing like he did at the news outlet’s office. Well, three years later, it seems like we’ll get the closest thing to that with T-Pain announcing an acoustic tour.
With aims of “doing something different” for his fans, Teddy Pain will hit the road for six dates in October in San Fransisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, Boston and Washington D.C. performing stripped-down versions of his music. Smino and Connecticut-born rapper Felly will support T-Pain across varying dates.
T-Pain celebrated the incredible reception of his Tiny Desk concert with a live un-auto-tuned concert in Washington D.C. in 2015. You can watch that here.
Head to T-Pain’s e-home to find out more information about the tour and to cop tickets.
