Berkeley’s Caleborate has been a mainstay at the DopeHouse for a while now, with a style that’s reminiscent of a longtime favorite of the site, Blu. With his latest announcement, he hopes to make a mark like John Barnes III as well.
Cale has announced Real Person, the follow-up to 2016’s 1993, Featuring production from Ian McKee, Lege Kale, Chonchies, Drew Banga and more, Real Person is slated to arrive in the Fall 2017.
Caleborate has also released the first track from the project, “Soul,” produced by Lege Kale. That can be heard below.
