Those lucky enough to have attended Blackpool, England’s massive LiveWire Festival this past weekend (August 25-27) were treated to a pair of nostalgia-inducing bookend performances from both The Jacksons (Jermaine, Jackie, Tito and Marlon) and DJ Jazzy Jeff and Will Smith, The Fresh Prince.
The duo closed out the festival performing all of their fan favorites, from “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit’ It” to “Girls Ain’t Nothing But Trouble” to “Summertime.” Jazz and Will also debuted the song “Get Lit,” their first new collaborative track since 1998’s “Lovely Daze.” According to NME, the song was written “in response to recent ‘chaos and confusion’ across the world.” “I wanted to make a record that reminded each and every one of y’all to let your light shine,” Smith said on stage.
