Atlanta rapper Runway Richy has prepped his China Cafeteria 2.5 mixtape for the better part of a year now, and it final has seen the light of day. The meaning behind the mixtape series is personal to a food joint in Richy’s hometown.
“China Cafeteria is a landmark in my hometown of Decatur, GA,” he said. “People of all walks of life come through there and everyone has a different story. … This project is about our stories.”
He also noted that the third project in the series is the most dense he’s put out yet:
“I named this project 2.5 because I went through a lot of stuff since the original EP… nearly dying in the car accident, learning to walk again, performing on crutches and every other obstacle in between. It’s been a crazy time, going to hell and coming back, so I felt just calling it Part 2 wasn’t enough. 2.5 has that extra little push!”
Gucci Mane (“Switchin Sides“), Trae Tha Truth (“Made It Happen“), London Jae, Scotty ATL and more make appearances on the 18-track mixtape.
