A New Posthumous Michael Jackson Project Set To Arrive This Month

blame it on Meka September 6, 2017

Gone but never forgotten, the legacy of Michael Jackson has been preserved over the years via capsule collections, posthumous releases (2010’s Michael, 2014’s Xscape) and his own daughter Paris Jackson, among others. Now, it appears that a new album is on the horizon.

Michael’s social media accounts — run by his estate — have announced that a new album, Scream, is slated to arrive on September 29th. For those who are familiar, “Scream” — originally a duet with his sister, Janet — was the lead single off Michael’s 1995 album HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I.

(The visual for “Scream” is also in the Guinness World Records as one of the most expensive music videos ever made, at a cost of $7 million.)

Scream is described as “a collection of 13 of Michael’s most electrifying & danceable tracks,” and includes songs like “This Place Hotel,” Rockwell’s “Somebody’s Watching Me” and “Dirty Diana.” Michael’s Instagram account has also revealed that a “five-song mash-up” track titled “Blood On The Dance Floor x Dangerous (The White Panda Mash-Up)” will be the bonus track on Scream, and is available by simply using the popular app Shazam on any Michael Jackson song. Listen to it below.

Scream is available for pre-order now.
