The Brooklyn-reared eclectic KAMAU has been one of my favorite artists in the last year, following the release of his debut project A Gorgeous Fortune. He has now released its follow up, TheKAMAU-CASSETTE: ŭRTH GōLD.
The second installment of his CASSETTE series, ŭRTH GōLD is led by the singles “GRā” and my personal fave, “Mint.” An eleven-track outing, it can be heard below.
KAMAU has also released a visual for “NāVí.” “In this video we see the extensive journey of a character to hold and embrace his love. Only to be torn apart from her in the end,” KAMAU said to VIBE. “This is the song of elusive and fleeting love.”
