Following a six-year hiatus, VH1’s Hip Hop Honors returned in 2016, paying homage to the genre’s most influential women: Queen Latifah, Missy Elliott, Salt-N-Pepa and Lil Kim.
Tonight (September 18th) Hip Hop Honors will salute the “90’s Game Changers,” paying homage to that era of hip hop, television and film. This year’s honorees include Martin Lawrence, Mariah Carey, Jermaine Dupri, Master P, and director Hype Williams. They were tributed by the likes of Missy, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Da Brat, and several others. The highlights, full performances and tributes can be seen below.
