Westside Gunn & DOOM Drop “Gorilla Monsoon” off WESTSIDEDOOM Project

The irony.

Immediately after [adult swim] and DOOM abruptly ended their Missing Notebook Rhymes series, a track from his and Westside Gunn‘s forthcoming WESTSIDEDOOM project has surfaced.

Produced by the always-consistent Daringer, “Gorilla Monsoon” debuted on Hypebeast as the publication sat down with Gunn for an interview. Speaking on the WESTSIDEDOOM project, he said, “He’s just one of those mysterious dudes and that’s what I like about him the most. Not everyone out there is able to touch DOOM because he’s not out there like that. I reached out to him and the dots just connected. Plus, I already had the WESTSIDEDOOM idea in my head. It didn’t have to be a full album or what not to make a point.”

Well, seeing as how DOOM’s partnership with [adult swim] ended prematurely, let’s hope that a project actually does come from WESTSIDEDOOM.
