While he’s been quiet for the past few seasons, Busta Rhymes has kept busy with appearances on A Tribe Called Quest’s final album and A$AP Ferg’s “East Coast.” He dropped his first solo offering of 2017, “Girlfriend,” with Tory Lanez and Vybz Kartel.
Tapping into his Caribbean roots, the Rockwilder-produced single now has a matching set of visuals. A near-eight minute affair, the likes of Beenie Man, Junior Reid, Ninja Man, Spice and Bounty Killer — and Spliff Star! — make cameos throughout. As the Worl’ Boss has been incarcerated since 2014 serving a life sentence for murder, Busta visits him in prison… kind of. Following that, Busta links with Tory at a bashment party to end his whirlwind trip in Jamaica.
