Caleborate Is A ‘Real Person’ On New Album

Berkeley’s Caleborate has been a mainstay at the DopeHouse for a while now, with a style that’s reminiscent of a longtime favorite of the site, Blu. With his latest project, he hopes to make a mark like John Barnes III as well.

Cale has released Real Person, the follow-up to his 2016 project 1993. “My life drove me to create this album,” explains Cale. “It’s a culmination of my musical taste, experiences, feelings and views. It’s my story. It’s delivered in a much more palatable way than 1993 was. 1993 was extremely fleshed out and musically advanced and at times that was very necessary. I feel that Real Person delivers with solid bars, smooth melodies, and overall efficiency throughout.”

Featuring production from Ian McKee, Lege Kale, Chonchies, Drew Banga and more, Real Person is anchored by the singles “Soul” and “Bankrobber,” the album can streamed in its entirety below.
