Thanks (in part) to Dr. Dre several members from the West coast-based Likwit Crew were able to establish notable careers, with Xzibit among the most popular and successful members. Defari was among the first wave, with his debut album Focused Daily becoming a staple in the underground scene during the early 2000s.
Eleven years after his last album, Street Music, Defari Herut has returned with his fourth album Rare Poise. The album is a quasi-Likwit reunion of sorts, as it is produced in its entirety by the Dilated Peoples‘ Evidence (who also produced Madchild‘s The Darkest Hour earlier in the year). A 14-track effort, the likes of Krondon, Phil Da Agony, Rakaa Iriscience and Brew are featured throughout.
