Cyhi The Prynce May Have A Version Of Kanye West’s ‘Yeezus 2’

Kanye West‘s sixth studio album Yeezus, depending on who you ask, is either one of most beloved or reviled albums. Drastically and artistically different from 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and 2011’s Watch the Throne, Yeezus is one of his most experimental projects.

Well, according to recent Spotify activity from Cyhi The Prince, there may have been more to the project that fans never got to hear.

Discovered by Genius, Cyhi has been known to use the streaming platform’s lesser-used feature to import local files from your computer (read: MP3s. Remember those?) onto the Spotify player, thereby being able to listen to those songs from anywhere using the program.

One particular playlist of Cyhi’s is the most interesting of them all. A six-track set, the songs are just initialed (“333,” “MM,” “OO,” “W,” “WISI” and “AY”). However, the playlist is titled Yeezus 2. Unfortunately, the tracks can only be played by Cyhi.

Another playlist from Cyhi is a rough draft of his long-in-the-works debut album, No Dope on Sundays.

Back in 2014, producer Rick Rubin — who worked extensively on Yeezus revealed that the “final version” of the album was not the only version. “Something we talked about with Kanye was doing an alternate version of Yeezus, because there are so many versions of songs, great versions,” he said to Genius. “There are versions just as good as what’s on the album, just different. I know as a fan of the album, I’d like to hear that. Maybe some day, whenever he wants. But it exists! That sh*t exists.”

Meanwhile, whatever happened to the Hype Williams-directed film based on West’s Yeezus Tour? Following a trailer in 2014, not much has been seen or heard from since.
