In 2015 Janelle Monáe protégé Jidenna broke out with his hit single “Classic Man,” ultimately releasing his debut album The Chief. Equally adept at singing and rapping, the Wondaland artist is able to drop knowledge as quickly as he can drop a hit song.
Out of nowhere, Jidenna has now release a surprise EP, Boomerang. A six-track quickstrike, he calls upon the likes of Wale and Quavo, as well as Nigerian stars Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage and Maleek Berry among others. If it’s anything like The Chief, then it should be as good a listen as well.
