2016’s Deadpool was, in short, a massive success: it earned over $783 million, became both the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time and the highest grossing X-Men film to date, and scored numerous accolades.
So, naturally, Marvel and 20th Century Fox are aiming higher with the sequel.
After announcing and revealing new cast members Cable (played by Josh Brolin) and Domino (played by Zazie Beetz of Atlanta fame), the first official trailer has been released… sort of. The thing starts off as a spoof of PBS’ classic show The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross… and gets more wackier from there.
Fortunately, there’s a brief montage of the actual movie as well. Deadpool 2 hits theaters June 1, 2018. Watch the teaser below.
