Want to feel old?

August 30th marked the thirtieth anniversary of Capcom’s Street Fighter franchise. One of the highest-grossing video game franchises of all time (it’s earned more than Mario, Sonic, Madden, Resident Evil and Mortal Kombat), it also is one of the most influential games ever.

To celebrate, Red Bull Music and Capcom collaborated to remix some of the most popular themes of Street Fighter 2, with Ryan Hemsworth, Wavves, Knxwledge and ASMARA reimagining the stage music for Ryu, Dhalsim and others. Red Bull Music and Capcom are also holding a contest, where aspiring producers can lend their own touch to samples from the original Street Fighter II theme song for a chance to win a $699 prize package that includes a Native Instruments Komplete 11 and Capcom-branded merchandise. Those interested can enter here.
