What a pleasant surprise.
In 2016 Dave Chappelle initially announced three specials to air on Netflix. Two of them, The Age of Spin: Dave Chappelle Live at the Hollywood Palladium and Deep in the Heart of Texas: Dave Chappelle Live at Austin City Limits, debuted on the streaming platform in March. It was then revealed that the third, Equanimity, would air on New Year’s Eve.
Netflix has announced that two specials will now debut December 31st: Equanimity and The Bird Revelation. The Bird Revelation, which was shot in Los Angeles in November, comes as a welcome surprise for fans of the comedian, and was revealed in a new trailer released by Netflix today (Dec. 22).
