DJ Muggs Teases DOOM Collab, Confirms New Cypress Hill Album

Back in 2015 DOOM had vowed to make a “villainous return,” which came as a surprise for fans of the extremely reclusive musician who at that point had not released any solo efforts since 2009’s Born Like This (he did, however, collaborate with Bishop Nehru in 2014 for NehruvianDoom).

Since then, he’s remained somewhat true to his vow: he teamed with [adult swim] for a series of tracks, the “Missing Notebook Rhymes…” but canceled it after a few weeks.

However, he united with Westside Gunn for a pair of WESTSIDE DOOM tracks, worked with IDK on his IWASVERYBAD project, and announced that he will co-produce Bishop’s next album alongside Kaytranada.

Now, it appears that he has another co-conspirator on the horizon: DJ Muggs.

The Soul Assassin, who recently collaborated with Meyhem Lauren for their Gems From the Equinox project, took to his Instagram page today (Dec. 28) to tease that a joint effort between he and DOOM could be on the horizon in 2018.

Whatever may come from this unholy union, the DopeHouse is here for all of it. And to add a cherry on top, Muggs also revealed a new Cypress Hill album is ready for 2018.
