Season 2 of Donald Glover’s ‘Atlanta’ Gets Premiere Date

To only say that Atlanta, the brainchild of Donald Glover, was a success would be a gross understatement. It won a Peabody Award, Golden Globes, and Emmys, nabbed Glover a production deal with FX (where he then announced that an animated Deadpool series would be among the first projects from that deal), and became one of the most popular shows in the history of the network.

After revealing back in 2017 that it would not return until 2018, Variety is reporting that the second season of Atlanta now has a formal debut date: March 1st.

Atlanta’s sophomore season, which is being titled “Atlanta Robbin’ Season,” Variety says, will focus on “two cousins (Glover and Brian Tyree Henry) work through the Atlanta music scene in order to better their lives and the lives of their families.”

Not sure what that means, but if there’s anything like the invisible car, the Black Justin Bieber and the “B.A.N.” episode, then I expect the season to be as thought-provoking and hilarious as its predecessor.
