The 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards could prove to be a first for women of rap (which, to be honest, is still a shockingly sad thing to say in 2018), as women have legitimate chances to win the trophies for Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap album. While Cardi B is up for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for “Bodak Yellow,” Rapsody is up for Best Rap Song for “Sassy” and Best Rap Album for Laila’s Wisdom.

Sitting down with Power 105’s The Breakfast Club, Rap spoke on her nominations and the possibilities of winning her first GRAMMY awards. She also gives credit to Remy Ma and talks potentially working with her, getting “chained” by Jay Electronica as she signed to Roc Nation, why she hasn’t worked with J. Cole yet, and more.
