Ciscero is back at the DopeHouse with a new groove.
Following an appearance on GoldLink’s At What Cost and dropping the infectious “Rio” last summer, the Maryland native returns with his new single, “Function.”
“I came up with the hook right away. It was magic,” Ciscero told Noisey. “Kanye is a huge inspiration of mine and how he quarterbacks multiple musicians on records, I love including artists in the creation process of songs.”
Featuring GoldLink, April George and Cheakity, the Supah Mario-laced song is the first single off Ciscero’s upcoming album, Devil’s Pie.
“I see a lot of people who chase things: money, fame, clout. And they sacrifice their happiness for it,” Ciscero says. “And when they get them, they realize it’s not good for you. it looks sweet, but its bitter. Devil’s Pie.”
