Mélat & Jansport J Release New LP, ‘Move Me 2: The Present’

In 2014 Texas-based songstress Mélat and California-reared beatsmith Jansport J connected for Move Me, which was one of the DopeHouse’s favorite projects of that year. Three years later, the two have reunited for the sequel.

While its predecessor was steeped in boom-bap, The Present incorporates a variety of different sounds from West Coast bounce to soulful sonics. The album was preceded by the singles “The Now,” “PUSH” and “Worries (Revelation 8:3).”

From the sound of it, Mélat and Jansport are aiming to make Move Me II: The Present yet another favorite of the DopeHouse once again. Stream it in its entirety below.
