Every body wants something in life. For Ne-Yo, all he wants is to be a “Good Man” to the one he loves. And for his first release of the year, the talented singer comes through with the title-track off his next album.
“I’m calling it [Good Man] because that’s what every woman wants and what every man should strive to be,” Ne-Yo told The Breakfast Club last summer. “You’re not born a good man. You gotta go through some stuff, let some things happen, in order to become a good man.”
“This album focuses on the journey of what it is to be a good man: a good man to you spouse, a good brother to your brother, a good person to the world,” he continues. “I am not proclaiming to be perfect. A good man makes mistakes, learns from those mistakes, therefore to not then repeat those mistakes. Being a a good man is a journey.”
