Anderson .Paak kicked down the doors into the R&B world with his 2016 album Malibu. After impressing features on Dr. Dre’s Compton and The Game’s The Documentary 2.5, Malibu was the icing on the cake for .Paak.
Since the release of Malibu, .Paak hasn’t completely faded into the background. With two projects with producer Knxwledge, as NxWorries, and multiple features, including songs on Talib Kweli’s Radio Silence & Rapsody’s Laila’s Wisdom, .Paak has remained present within the music industry. Despite this, a new album from .Paak is what fans truly desire and after two years, we may be getting it.
Without much of an announcement from .Paak, he released his first single in nearly a year. Titled “‘Til It’s Over,” the track is a blend of R&B and EDM and it first appeared in a Spike Jonze-directed ad that also featured FKA Twigs.
