Denzel Curry – “Sumo”

blame it on Shake April 2, 2018

While tearing down stages on the Mad Man Tour, Denzel Curry has been banging out tracks with IDK (“Uh Huh“) and A$AP Ferg (“Kristi YammaGucci“). And now, he’s back with a solo banger of his own.

With his Taboo album in post-production, the Carol City native flaunts his worth over thunderous Charlie Heat production on the energetic slapper, “Sumo.”

“Me, Charlie Heat, Flatbush ZOMBiES, Kirk Knight and Powers (Pleasant) were all in the studio at the same time making this record,” Curry told Zane Lowe. “We were just going through beats and freestyling. But when that beat came on, I was like hold up, don’t switch it yet, and that’s when the hook just came to my mind.”

On top of the new track, Denzel also released a video for his “Ultimate (Remix)” with Juicy J. Equipped with references to Street Fighter II and DragonBall Z, the clip is an Apple Music exclusive for now.
