Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, A$AP Ferg & More To Perform At Hot 97’s SummerJam 2018

Kung Fu Kenny is returning to New York.

After becoming the first rapper to win a Pulitzer Prize, Kendrick Lamar has been tapped to headline Hot 97’s SummerJam 2018. Returning for the first time since 2015, it will be Kendrick’s first time headlining the festival.

But that’s not all.

In all its years SummerJam has been a concert of “moments,” and will attempt to do so again in 2018. Alongside Kenny, Lil Wayne has been tapped to perform what’s being called “Carter Classics.” In other words, he’ll be revisiting songs from his Tha Carter discography. It’s interesting because this will mark the first time a Young Money artist will perform at SummerJam in quite some time; because of past comments by Funk Flex and Peter Rosenberg, both Drake and Nicki Minaj have all but boycotted Hot 97 as a whole.

A$AP Ferg, Tory Lanez, Swizz Beatz (with “friends”), Remy Ma and Rich The Kid are among the other artists performing.
