Blueprint – “Masterpiece”

blame it on Shake May 1, 2018

It’s been a minute since we’ve gotten an album from Blueprint, but the emcee/producer is back in action and will be releasing Two-Headed Monster this month.

“‘Two-Headed Monster’ is the type of record that I’ve wanted to make for a while, which is a fun record,” Print says. “While the early part of my career was full of fun records, my last two albums have been dense, conceptual projects. That’s not the case with this album. While the record does have a concept and it’s serious moments, it’s nowhere near as serious as my previous two projects. And I’ve gotta say, it felt great to have fun again.”

After releasing the title track, Printmatic keeps it coming with the album’s second single, “Masterpiece.” Serving as a lyrical Thornton Wilder, he narrates another tale of those who fall between the cracks of the spotlight.

“It’s the story of an artist who spends her whole life shunning personal relationships to focus on her creative side,” Print says, “only to find out that building a family is just as challenging and rewarding as the masterpiece she’s been trying to create her entire life.”

Press play below and be sure to pick up Two-Headed Monster—which features from Slug (of Atmosphere), Aceyalone, Mr. Lif, Wordsworth, Has-Lo, and Supastition—when it arrives May 22nd.
