Bassist and composer Brady Watt has worked with everyone from Curren$y and Murs, and is a member of DJ Premier‘s The Badder Band (and nabbed a feature on Preemo’s PRhyme 2 album with Royce 5’9″).
In 2015 he released his solo album, LIFETRONICS. He now returns with a new single “Black & White,” with Topaz Jones and Ro James.
“[The song] was conceived in Malibu during the same stay when I wrote ‘Youth In Revolt,'” Watt said to Billboard. “When Ro and I linked back up in NY I laid it down, cut the hook and built the beat around it.
“I needed an emcee to breath more lyrical content into it,” he continues, “but it really had to be the right fit. Around that time I discovered Topaz Jones… and was really digging his style.”
