For the last two months, Westside Gunn has been teasing the release of his upcoming album, which as of now, has three titles—yes, three—Supreme Blientele, Chris Benoit, and God is the Greatest.
“Everything was written, GxFR was meant to be, Machine Gun Black died to protect US, me and Benny went to the Feds, Conway gettin shot in the head and lived to become the Machine was all God’s plan,” WSG said on Instagram. “Making it from a city nobody has made it from, the ART all over the world and now the space I’m in I feel like a legend and I’m just getting started. I give all credit to God and for that my album is named God is the Greatest aka Chris Benoit aka Supreme Blientele.”
“All three names, however you prefer, but all will have three different covers with all three different meanings,” he continued. “My ART will live forever.”
So far, we’ve seen the artwork for Chris Benoit (which was painted by Isaac Pelayo). And now, Gunn has announced the album’s release date (June 22) and revealed the star-studded tracklist.
On top of features from his GxFR family Conway and Benny, WSG has also enlisted the likes of Jadakiss, Busta Rhymes, eLZhi, Roc Marciano, and Anderson .Paak to assist in rocking production from Daringer, Alchemist, Pete Rock, Harry Fraud, 9th Wonder, and Statik Selektah.
