Meet Toxsikk, an emcee out of Las Vegas who’s making his solo DopeHouse debut after years of putting in work.
Truthfully, we should’ve introduced y’all awhile back, but sometimes things just don’t work out. Anyways, we’re here now and Tox still has plenty to get off his chest.
Teaming up with our man DJ Finyl (of Greater Good fame), the two will release a collaborative album called N5TH on July 5th. And today, they’ve come through with a video for the project’s first single, “I’m Down.”
With fellow Vegas artist Hack the Mack along for the ride, the Gio Visuals-directed clip follows a the day in the life of a youngin’ from the city. From waking up to seeing a gun pointed at someone’s dome in his own crib to embarrassing an older cat in basketball and getting run off the court by him and his boys (all punks). Finyl even makes a cameo, but it’s just to kick the little homie off the bus—like damn, can he catch a break?
