Jay Rock is ready.
With his anticipated third studio album, Redemption, arriving in a matter of days (June 15th), the veteran TDE member has revealed the first of a multi-part documentary series, “Road To Redemption.” Delving into his origins, the 10-minute clip tells the story of Johnny Reed McKinzie, Jr. from his days of growing up in Watts, CA to his first major label deal at Warner Bros. back in 2007.
Viewers also hear from the people that know him best: his Top Dawg Entertainment family, including Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Isaiah Rashad, Terrence “Punch” Henderson and Derek “MixedByAli” Ali.
