Meet Ron Beatty, a rapper from North Carolina who is making his DopeHouse debut with a video for “Blowin’ Smoke.”
Originally released on 4/20, because of course, the song will live on Beatty’s forthcoming Nights Like This project, and is more than just your average smoker anthem.
“My childhood. My adolescent days. I spent the most time reflecting on shit I hadn’t even experienced yet,” Beatty told 2DBZ via email. “A combination of being before my time and manifesting. Just thinking and planning. Through the pain and good times, we blow smoke to let go and keep going. I wanted to capture that feeling while making this video.”
Consider the feeling captured. The DopeHouse is proud to premier the accompanying visual, which finds Beatty hot boxing a car with his homie with shots of a lovely lady (who we need an APB out on) blowin’ smoke throughout.
