The Joe Budden Podcast ep.168

blame it on Shake June 28, 2018

With their West Coast tour on the horizon (with two shows in Vegas!), Joe Budden and company are back with the 168th episode of The Joe Budden Podcast — “Symbolism.”

There’s a lot on the docket this week – Joe, Rory and Mal begin with a recap of the BET Awards. They discuss Nipsey Hussle’s victory slap, Jamie Foxx’s hosting and Meek Mills performance (15:48). Teyana Taylor’s album dropped and the guys give their review (48:56). They also question if Kanye has become lazy in his music career (54:25). Drake is also dropping his album this Friday and they predict what they expect to hear from him (1:12:25). And Joe is “Mr. Chimney” this episode, addressing Ak and Pete (Rosenberg) putting things in perspective for Rosenberg [1:37:35]. As always, another loaded episode.

For the “Sleepers” segment, Joe ran with Meek Mill’s “Stay Woke” with Miguel, while Rory picked Next Town Down’s “Easy” and Mal chose Donte Jackson’s “First Night In Houston.”

Also, according to Mal, Drake’s Scorpion album will feature one side of R&B and one side of Hip-Hop. The tracklist was revealed this morning with 25 songs split in half, so I’m guessing he’s spot on.
