Tsu Surf Bodies ‘Bars on I-95’ Freestyle

blame it on Shake July 2, 2018

The look on the host’s face says it all.

When it comes to rhyming, Tsu Surf gets busy.

During a recent stop in Connecticut, the Jersey-bred emcee proceeded to go nutty with the bars with a near ten-minute session over Beanie Sigel and Jay-Z’s “Still Got Love For You” (or Mary J Blige or any of the other artists that flipped the same Isaac Hayes sample) on Bars On I-95.

And while Surf believes there’s politics involved in why the freestyle wasn’t included in our Verse of the Month voting, it simply missed the cut because we didn’t see it. It’s not our fault the damage he did on the mic was done during his time on a Connecticut-based station that I’ve never heard of. No shots, as I’m sure they do their thing, but this is a fact—with all the material that drops on a daily basis, it’s impossible to see and hear everything, especially when it’s done on a smaller platform.

Still, a performance like this deserves recognition — and that’s exactly why we’re posting. Press play below.
