Since dropping off his 2016 album, The Healing Component, Mick Jenkins treated fans with two EPs, 2017’s or more; the anxious and this year’s Or more… the frustration. Speaking on the EPs, Mick Jenkins said “‘or more’ is a project series involving musical ideas and concepts that are currently inspiring the album’s creation process.” Today, we got word on said album.
Taking to Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show, Mick revealed that his sophomore album would be titled Piece of a Man and would arrive later this fall. To hold fans over, he released the album’s lead single, “Bruce Banner.”
On the track Mick goes on a lyrical onslaught, reminding listeners of the talented writer and rapper that he is, proudly proclaiming “can’t nobody touch me except Kendrick.”
