Shake’s Songs of the Week v.14

blame it on Shake August 6, 2018

For the last 112 weeks (count em), I’ve been putting together a Weekly Dope playlist that compiles all the music that was released to help fans catch up. On average, each playlist consists of 30-40 songs. So, in an effort to put a little more of a personal touch on things, I’ll also be sharing a list of my personal favorites from the week.

This week, YG kicks things off with a highlight from his Stay Dangerous album, before leaving the kitchen open for Sheek Louch to cook up some heat with Dave East and Jadakiss. Travis Scott opened up the gates to Astroworld with help from Drake, Stevie Wonder, Kid Cudi, and James Blake. Mac Miller took Swimming lessons on life. I’ve got highlights from H.E.R., Moneybagg Yo, Willie the Kid, and Choker‘s new projects. Diplo and Mark Ronson tapped GoldLink and Desiigner for their latest Silk City collaboration. Ella Mai released her “Boo’d Up” follow-up, Benny the Butcher caught another body, and Freddie Gibbs let the tires spin on a new banger. Timbaland laced Zayn with some heat, plus quality grooves from newcomers Ash, Muna Ileiwat, Marco McKinnis, and more.
