“Ni**as call they mixtapes “albums,” so if they flop, it’s an EP.”
Last year, Aminé dropped off one of the more surprisingly impressive albums of the year with his debut album Good For You. After its release, he dove under the radar, popping out for a few songs, a freestyle, and a Tiny Desk performance. Tonight, the Portland rapper makes his returned.
Earlier today, Aminé posted a one-minute to his social media accounts that featured three versions of himself dealing with the never-ending struggle to define album, LP, EP, & mixtape.
At the end of the video, he revealed a new project, titled ONEPOINTFIVE, would drop at midnight. The project features thirteen songs and sports features from Gunna, G Herbo & Rico Nasty. With no lead singles, Aminé’s latest project is completely original and should be pleasant follow up to Good For You.
