Slug and Ant are at it again!

Two years after releasing Fishing Blues, Atmosphere is back with a new album, Mi Vida Local, out October 5th.

Their ninth full-length release, Mi Vida Local is intensely focused on the place it was created—the southside of Minneapolis—where the hometown heroes have continued to work on their craft and refine their sound for well over two decades.

“If it’s sometimes an album about how the fight to find happiness never really ends–even after you get the house and the kids and the artistic freedom to make dad-rap records–it’s also about discovering that there’s happiness to be found just in fighting,” a press release reads about direction of the project—that’s heavy, but far from grim.

To coincide with the album news, Atmosphere has also released a video—directed by Jason Goldwatch—for the lead single, “Virgo.” Shot on Super 8mm film, the vintage clip (as well as the album’s tracklist) can be seen below.
