Standing as the newest signee to Nas’ Mass Appeal record label, Georgia’s Cantrell wasted no time stepping into the light, releasing his debut EP, Stardust 2 Angels.
Led by “Pickin Up” and “Keep Yappin,” the project is strapped with eight songs. Holding no features, it’s all on Cantrell to give us a full dose of his artistry.
Speaking on the EP last month with Vibe, he described it as “the physical and emotional journey from a small southern town to the City of Angels.”
“Stardust, my hometown skating rink, represents home and a place of comfort where one would dream of what they could become,” he continued. “And Los Angeles, the City of Angels, represents the destination, vision, and realization of a dreamer’s work.”
