What To Expect This Week (8/26-9/1)

While Bas and Bobby Brackins came through with Milky Way and To Kill For respectively, Ty Dolla Jeremih‘s MihTy was no where to be found. But to make up for the delayed release, the duo dropped off a new song with Lil Wayne. In addition to that, we received tunes from Blood Orange (Negro Swan), T-Pain (“Might Be“), Jack Freeman (Define Love) and more.

With August coming to an end and summer slowly turning into fall, let’s see what the music industry has to offer this week:

LloydTru LP (8/31)

His first album in 5 years, Lloyd makes his return with Tru this Friday. The LP is an extended version of the EP he released two years ago which included a supporting cast of  Lil WayneRick Ross and 2 Chainz.

Moving back to the present, Lloyd’s new LP stands at 11 songs and is led by “Caramel” and includes the previously-released “Holding” and “Heavenly Body.”. The album sports bonus features from Khujo GoodieCurren$ySevyn StreeterRiver and The Spellman Women’s Choir.

DON Q, Don Season 2 (8/31)

Serving as sequel to his 2016 tape, Don Q will be returning this week with his second project of the year, following March’s Don Talk, with Don Season 2.

Laced with 19 songs, Don Q’s latest project is led by “Don Season Pt. 2” and “Yeah Yeah.” The project will also include features from 50 Cent, Mayila, Murda Beatz, Lil Durk, Moneybagg Yo, Jay Critch, Hoodrich Pablo Juan, Young Scooter, Trap Manny, Dave East and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.

Bun BReturn of Trill (8/31)

Originally expected in March, Bun B is finally ready to release Return of the Trill, his long-awaited album follow-up to 2013’s Trill OG: The Epilouge.

Equipped with 14 songs, Bun B’s fifth album is led by “Recognize” (with T.I. and Big K.R.I.T.) and includes the previously heard “KnoWhatImSayin” and “Slow It Down.” The album also features from Lil Keke and Slim Thug.

Curren$y, Fire in the Clouds (8/31)

With The Marina still rocking from May, Curren$y is ready to release his next project, Fire in the Clouds, on Friday.

Where as Harry Fraud laced The Marina EP, FITC will be handled by Drupey Beats. Strapped with 12 songs, more than half the project is available thanks to “That or This,” “Specialist,” “Targa,” “Feel Nobody,”  “A Sign of Things to Come” and “Pay Scale” with Larry June.
