Although we haven’t heard much from Nao since the release of her For All We Know debut in 2016, the Britsh songstress has recently resurfaced with “Another Lifetime” and a song featured on the Uncle Drew soundtrack.
Now, after sharing a bop-worthy remix of “Another Lifetime” with Shareware, Nao is back with her third original offering of the year. This time, teaming up with TDE’s own SiR on “Make It Out Alive.”
“I’d hit my late twenties and everything was in flux; relationships, work life, home situation, everything. I was lost and I genuinely had to ask ‘how do you make it out of here?’,” Nao says. “The idea of making it a duet was to reflect how many people, all over the world, are going through the same experience. I’d been a huge fan of SiR’s voice and songwriting for a while so I was over the moon when he agreed to join me on the track.”
Based on the short time in between releases and the similar aesthetic on the artwork, I think it’s safe to say an album is on the horizon. Either way, press play and vibe out to “Make It Out Alive” below.
