Over the years, Brownsville’s own Ka has teamed up with a handful of artists on collaborative projects—including Roc Marciano (as Metal Clergy), Preservation (as Dr. Yen Lo), Kev (as NightBreed), and a few others. And now, he’s done it again with a joint effort with Los Angeles producer Animoss under the name Hermit and the Recluse.

Together, the coast-to-coast connection released their new album, Orpheus vs. the Sirens. Drawing inspiration from Greek mythology—in particular, the story of Orpheus, who was a musician and poet that had the ability to charm all living things with his music, attempted to save his wife from Hades, and was eventually killed by those who could not hear his divine music.

Locked in at 10 tracks, Ka and Animoss Hermit and the Recluse’s Orpheus vs. the Sirens can be heard below.
