Ever since Jonah Cruzz made his DopeHouse debut back in 2014, the ATLien has been one of my favorite artists doing it. Over the years, he’s consistently hit us with quality projects. And today is no different, with the release of his new EP, It’s A Beautiful Thang.
“I am very excited about this release because the process of making it has humbled me,” Cruzz said on IG. “I faced so many struggles in the making of this project. Seeing my baby brother face jail, him losing his best-friend to a drive by, being heartbroke, and dealing with depression, I’m happy to say it was all a lesson. I thank God for everything I went through because l learned so much from it and grew.”
“This picture represents the beginning,” he continued. “Back when I was in 12th grade living in a hotel with me and my 3 younger brothers and sister (she took the picture lol). This is what made me who I am. God and the bond between me and my family are my greatest strength. They are how I have survived through so much. I had to come back to the basics and see what truly matters in life. To be standing here now stronger than ever, it truly is a beautiful thang.”
